DELICIOUS. LOVE THIS PLACE. NEVER MISSES. MY VEGAN FRIEND'S GO-TO (SHE CONSUMES A LOT OF BREAD). FIRST CAME ACROSS IN DURHAM FARMER'S MARKET AND THEN VISITED THE BAKERY. From the moment you walk in, you're hit with the lovely aroma of freshly baked bread, pastries, and other treats.Their selection is extensive, and have their full bake schedule on their website. I would recommend going early on weekends to have the first pick at the best selection. What really sets Loaf apart is that they source noticeably high-quality local ingredients. You can taste the difference in everything they bake, from the richly buttery challah or the tanginess of the sourdough bread. The owners are super kind and w...

We're traveling in the Research Triangle cities from AL and came across Loaf while talking a walk in downtown. The bakery actually just closed for the day but when the owner saw us at the door, he came out to greet me and my husband, gave us 2 blueberry galettes for free and welcomed us back in the future. We were so appreciative of his kindness and the pasty was absolutely delicious. If you're ever in downtown Durham, this is the place to go!

Wow! We picked up cheese pepper bread, squash croissant, tomato tart, cinnamon bun, salted caramel bun, walnut maple bar....I'm blown away as we are eating them at home in southern VA. I think our favorite is the salted caramel bun. I've had pastries all over as I own a cafe.....this is the best I have had ...ever.

What a fantastic little bakery in downtown Durham! They've adapted wonderfully to the times, making ordering and curbside pickup a breeze. Every day, they offer flatbreads that cater to both vegans and meat lovers. Their pastries and sweet treats are absolutely delicious, and each one is definitely worth a try.

Best croissants I've had in Durham. There isn't space to sit and eat so this is definitely a come by and take out spot but will be back next time I'm in the area. The almond croissant is the best almond croissant I've had but it's on the heavier side so one is all you need to be fully satisfied :

The butter croissants are devine! They are crunchy on the outside, but so soft and moist on the inside, with just the right amount buttery goodness. The bakery is also very consistent in performance. I highly recommendIt's the best croissant I've had in North America.
