Ordered take out. Food was done in the time stated. However, as I watched my food sit in the window, one of two workers looked at it and then just passed by. The gal that took my order started a discussion with her coworker for several minutes ending in a high five. She then looked at my food and then went to the restroom. I asked her coworker about my food and he said he needed to go take a couple orders. She returned from the bathroom, began bagging my food and then stopped to go get a glass of water. We live just minutes away from Local Roots and have been enjoying takeout and outdoor dining there throughout the pandemic. However, this was our first time dining inside with our 1-year-old. The restaurant has a charming diner vibe. We managed to get a table right next to a small playroom, which was perfect because it allowed my husband and me to take turns playing with our baby. Our waiter was fantastic—very welcoming and efficient. The food was delicious and even held up well when we took some home. We arrived for an early Sunday breakfast, and by the time we left around 9:30, the place was starting to get quite busy. We will definitely return to try lunch!

We arrived a few minutes late for our 8:30 reservation with a group of 8, including 4 young children. The staff was incredibly gracious and even offered the kids breakfast items that weren't part of the dinner menu. They kindly allowed us to stay and eat beyond their closing time, showcasing exceptional hospitality. Such kindness! The service was excellent, and the food was fantastic. Thank you!!!

I had heard positive reviews and wanted to support a local small business. I ordered a turkey burger, but after 40 minutes, the waiter returned to inform us that they were out of turkey burgers. I chose a veggie burger instead, but another 20 minutes passed before the waiter came back to tell us they were out of those as well. Local Roots offers some of the best food I've had in recent times, and it's unfortunate that it's closing down. I met the most amazing manager who recommended a heavenly grilled cheese sandwich topped with bacon, runny eggs, and extra cheese. I had to save half for later! If you can, please go and support Local Roots before June 10th!

I've had good experiences here during my previous visits. However, I can’t speak about my most recent experience because I had made a reservation through OpenTable, which was confirmed, but when we arrived, the restaurant was unfortunately closed. It seems they had recently changed their hours.

Please update your online hours so I don't waste 24 minutes driving only to find they've changed. I find it hard to believe there's a staffing shortage when it's 7:30 PM and there are three people seated inside. I won't be returning!

I absolutely loved the rustic, homey atmosphere, and the food was incredible. I highly recommend it—11 out of 10! I've already been twice and will definitely return!
