Came to Locavino to eat and kill time before a movie across the street. What better way to kill time than drinking wine! We arrived around 5pm on a Saturday and there was plenty of indoor seating of various table sizes from high top 2 seaters to tables for 6. By 6:30 the place was full. There are a few outdoor seats as well. While the by the glass menu is limited, the prices are affordable and the menu extensive. The Goat salad had a heap of spinach and the chicken was well seasoned. It was dressed quite heavily so in the future I'll ask for dressing on the side. Still tasty. On my second visit, I dined in and ordered their salmon with mixed vegetables. I also tried the Red Three Pillars Pinot Noir and purchased a bottle of Red Newt Riesling to take home, which I have really liked. I'm mostly drawn to come back for the wine. One of the staff mentioned that they offer 25% off wines and appetizers during happy hour, which goes until 7 pm. Additionally, at my request, they provided small tastings of two wines while I was deciding on a bottle to buy for later.

As we prepare to leave Silver Spring, Locavino will always have a special place in our hearts. It quickly became our favorite spot for drinks and food after work. The Very Gouda burger is absolutely incredible and ranks among my favorite burgers in DC. We also loved the Fig Balsamic flatbread, along with their fantastic selection of local wines and beers. I can't recommend this place enough; we even hosted our engagement celebration here, and the staff were incredibly accommodating.
Perfect combination of wine store with small cafe. Wine selection is really good considering that's MoCo kudos to the owners. It's like Fenwick Beer in the wine world. Portugal wine from here serve as a great combination with lamb stew from Whole foods. Please note that the parking is limited and you have to deal with all shoppers coming after groceries. As a bonus if you dine in you get a view of the ice ring and street performers in front of Civic building. Update June

This is a fantastic place for a date. The atmosphere is relaxed, with a good selection of wine and delicious food, all surrounded by beautiful artwork on the walls. They offer numerous drink specials, with happy hour running Monday to Friday from 3 to 7 PM, where you can enjoy 25% off select wines and appetizers. I've had a delightful two hours here! The happy hour deals are fantastic, and the extended hours until 7 make it even better. Unfortunately, I had a small personal incident tonight, but I want to express my gratitude to two staff members, Nick and Roxy, for the way they handled it. Management should definitely recognize their kindness and helpfulness, as my friends and I truly appreciated their support!
This is an excellent place for lunch and dinner, and it’s also a great spot to pick up wine or beer to take home. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is usually not crowded. The food is delicious. I would love to see a kids' menu in the future, but overall, this is a fantastic place to eat.
Reviewing only for the food as I did not have wine. Food was fine but nothing special. Truffle mac and cheese had no discernible truffles or truffle flavor. Burger was a bit undercooked. Plenty of menu choices though so might try again next time I’m in the area. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
