"We have eaten at a few good restaurants close the banks of the Loire around the area of Ancenis and L'Ocean is one of our favourites. Unpretentious with friendly and efficient staff, the restaurant's speciality, unsurprisingly but not exclusively, is seafood.Madame and I started with a beautifully fresh and generous seafood platter with an impressive cast list that included oysters, cockles, mussels, winkles, whelks, clams, langoustines, prawns, brown shrimps, brown crab and spider crab. A nice bottle of Savennieres, modestly priced, was an enjoyable accompaniment.When we had finished the platter, Madame was replete and declared; leaving me to continue with a nicely cooked piece of haddock...
