Lockgate Coffee House

Lovely team members but shocking service and coffee wasn't great considering it's a coffee house, 20 min wait for a take out coffee and sausage roll. Heard another customer say she had waited 45 mins for soup which was cold in the middle. Main disappointment was the coffee which was luke warm and weak, by the time I'd realised this I was on my way in the car and didn't have it in me to go back and wait! I don't think it's worth the money I paid, it was £9 for a horrible coffee and sausage roll (which was tasty).

Paid a disposit of £20 for afternoon tea as advertised on there Web site, went to pay for the 2nd person so should had been another £20 to pay, they asked for £24 as the price on the Web site was wrong. They should had honoured the £40. Would not recommend this place.

My first visit, but won't be my last. Just happened to pass it and called in. I had the best Goats Cheese and Beetroot Salad and the coffee was nice too. It's a busy little cafe, I just wish it was closer to where I live. They even gave my dog a few treats too!

I absolutely adore this restaurant. It has such a unique and quirky atmosphere. The soup and sandwich I had were absolutely delicious. The surrounding area also offers some beautiful walking paths. I highly recommend dining here. Reserva una mesa ahora

Lovely cafe overlooking a small river and canal. Excellent food, cakes and hot drinks. Lovely outside decking and patio area available. Dogs are welcome too

Caters very well for food intolerances/allergies. Really enjoyed my almond latte and dairy free Bakewell Tart.
