Upon entering, we weren't greeted with much enthusiasm, and the service felt a bit tense, but despite these logistical issues, the quality of the food makes it worth a return visit. The dim sum is made to order, so be prepared to wait about 15-20 minutes for it.

The interior of the restaurant is quite simple and no-frills. The waitress seemed to communicate better with my friend who spoke to her directly. There were a few mix-ups with the silverware and napkins. Additionally, they were reluctant to turn on the central air conditioning, so it felt quite chilly inside!
As for the food, it was excellent. I highly recommend the eggplant, which was roasted before being sauced—this was a delightful surprise for me! We also tried the pork dish, which was moist and flavorful, and a fried chicken dish with dried paprika, which is more standard fare. I'm here every week (this is no lie). From the skewers and pork buns, to sweet corn pancakes there hasn't been a thing I've ordered that I've been unimpressed with. Great atmosphere and staff. While you can find familiar dishes like chicken and broccoli, there are also unique options worth trying. The egg custard bun is a delightful sweet treat, and the pork chop is savory and flavorful. Finally a local place with a different take on Asian food. Northern Hot Pot was amazing. Price point is good. The area to eat in is tiny but cozy. Only negative is communication. If you order appetizer and main they are likely to come together. If you can overlook the minor miscommunication this place is a real find
Authentic and tasty Chinese food. The skewers are good and we'll flavoured. The other dishes are typical authentic Chinese fare. Decor and service are simple, with menus laminated into the tables.
Genuine authentic and delicious Chinese cuisine. We ordered spits, chicken wings, dry pot and other stuff. Would highly recommend.
Very small hole in the wall mom and pop type of place with amazing food. The staff is friendly the food is great.
