L'oliveta - Reserva de mesa

I had an absolutely dreadful experience this morning at Loliveta. The host who was supposed to guide people to their tables had an incredibly argumentative attitude. The main issue that really bothered me was the way he spoke to me. He started off by questioning how many people I needed a table for, which was quite unnecessary. Then, he abruptly told me that I couldn 't bring my own food onto the premises, even though I didn 't have any food or drinks with me in the first place. Later on, I returned to the restaurant to get a second table for three lovely ladies who were in wheelchairs. Timings on the website and on google are incorrect, I checked the website for timings specifically to ensure I would be able to bring my children for a drink and cake arrived at 3:30. Went to approach the restraunt and was promptly told that they closed at 3:30. The member of staff went to check with her manager who was sat over the other side of the restaurant who was rude and dismissive. He totally denied what it said on the website and honestly seemed like he couldn’t even be bothered. The restaurant used dirty oil for frying everything, resulting in greasy food. The drinks were watery and the mocha had to be remade because it was so bad. The scampi was tasteless and poorly filled. Surprisingly, I suffered from a stomach ache that night. Despite having a 5-star hygiene rating, I found it questionable. The prices were high for the quality of the food. I gave two stars instead of one because the cakes were nice and the staff was okay. Service was dine-in.

The service at this restaurant was awful, with staff having a poor attitude. Despite clearly stating that my partner is a vegetarian and has a pork allergy, they served her a jacket potato with cheese, bacon, and baked beans. Brilliant restaurant. We dine here regularly. The staff and owners are lovely and produce really excellent food at a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend L'oliveta as a wonderful place to eat especially if you love Italian food. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £10–20

This restaurant is fantastic. We dine here frequently. The staff and owners are lovely and serve delicious food at a great price. I highly recommend l’oliveta as a fantastic dining spot, especially for those who enjoy Italian cuisine.
