I like the restaurant, but I'm really disappointed with their vegan options. Their homemade burger patty and homemade sausage patties aren't vegan, and they don't even have a vegan cheese substitute. If they did, probably 90% of their menu could be made vegan instead of the few options they currently have. With all of the vegan substitutes out there, I'm not sure why they don't already do this. The last time I was there, I ordered the portabella sandwich with avocado, but they were out of avocado. Then the server told me their bun isn't vegan, and so I got a mushroom cap in between two slices of bread. Very disappointing. Updated from previous review on 2017-10-16

they almost always mark every image post with vegan, even if the image is obviously not vegan (sometimes occupied with a fried egg). often they don't even confess it vegetarian, just vegan. After several years of asking whether the product is actually vegan and they answer no, they don't seem to stop or care about this misleading practice. they need more options, especially for breakfast, but do better with often including protein instead of always load $4 for the addition of tofu. bakery products are also very limited, but they always have cupcakes.

What a hidden gem. The food was delicious and fresh but what impressed us more was their dedication to their community. If you enjoy supporting businesses that give back this is the place. You could see their commitment to change for the bettereverywhere you looked. On the other hand... if you just want really delicious food and don't care about the societal impact,this is still the place to go.

My daughter and I absolutely loved this place!!! Amazing food!!! My daughter had the biscuits and gravy and I had the breakfast burrito and added avocado to it! So much food!! Then, we had to take an amazing cupcake home! Atmosphere was very relaxed andwelcoming!!! Go check it out and the amazing art work!!! Thank you so much for the amazing experience!! Longbranch is a fantastic café and bakery that focuses on vegetarian dishes. It offers a delightful change from the usual dining options, with a variety of choices ranging from breakfast items to Asian noodles, nachos to falafel, classic sandwiches, wraps, and salads. The menu is well-rounded, with something to suit everyone's tastes.

but then we learned that even if eating was great, the longbranch caffe and his manager are accused of unfair work practices, including wage injuries, after a defeat of the U.S. Minister of Labour. as an ethical vegan we could not support a company rooted in the exploitation of its workers. updated by previous review on 2021-07-19

We happened to stumble upon Carbondale for a meal during our camping trip and we were delighted by the experience! The food and fresh juices were fantastic, and the owner even brought out a wooden rocking horse to entertain my four-year-old. We enjoyed it so much that we made sure to stop by again on our way back home.

The food at this restaurant was excellent. We tried the avocado toast, stuffed biscuit, carrot juice with all the add-ons, and the lemon olive cake. The outdoor seating had a charming atmosphere. Our server, Kiersten, was delightful and welcoming. We definitely plan on returning!

The price was fair and the food was decent. I wish they had more vegan options available. The breakfast menu is quite limited.
