Restaurant Review: A Disappointing Experience I recently joined a friend for dinner at Los Fogones, and it was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever witnessed. My friend ordered a well-done steak, but it arrived undercooked. When my friend politely asked for a replacement, the owner came out, visibly annoyed, and condescendingly lectured my friend on how steak should be cooked, insisting on his years of experience and that he is right and she is wrong. The owner was so stubborn he didn't realize you can't force your customers to eat your bad cooking, no matter how many years his being doing it wrong and he lives in denial. The food was excellent, and the portions were generous for the price. Every dish was full of flavor and juicy. The sauces complemented the meats beautifully. The servers were friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was peaceful, not too bright or noisy, making it a very relaxing experience. Despite ordering nearly all the meats on the menu, we didn’t have to wait long. We tried the Carlos platter, which included seven meats and four sides for an incredible price!
The restaurant has a stylish yet relaxed atmosphere in the heart of town. The manager personally attended to us and provided excellent service throughout our visit. The food was fantastic and definitely worth the price. It's a very well-run establishment, and I highly recommend it.
Do better. I ordered the arroz chaufa (sp? . It was absolutely disgusting.The chicken was dry and tough and the rice smelled rancid and was too greasy to eat. The yellow sauce was so thick, I had to spoon it out of the half filled container. What a waste.

2nd time eating here, separated by about 4 years absolutely as good as I remembered it. Highly recommend the Lomo Saltado, the crab balls, and the empanadas. Service isn’t as attentive as you’d hope for but fortunately the food makes up for that.
This restaurant is amazing! This was our second time visiting, and the food was delicious. Their homemade chimichurri is the best! The menu offers a wide variety of options. It's family-owned, the staff is fantastic, and the service is excellent!
We went for lunch on Monday and it was empty, despite having all those stars, so definitely recommend going on a Monday. Very attentive service. I had the fried fish of the day which had this zesty butter sauce under it that made it amazing.
I really enjoy the food at this restaurant, they have the best lamb chops in town and a fantastic salad bar.

Excellent food. The crab cakes were amazing. The staff was real nice. The Peruvian punch was on point.
