I'm here twice now because I've been having a dissatisfied hook for Pupusas lately. The Pupusas here are phenomenal. The curtido is also very good. And the sauce, I'm not sure if the name, but the sauce, which is always served with Pupusas, is exceptional here. The service is friendly that the waiter very respectfully tolerates my Unterpar-Spanish (i.e. they do not laugh at me, at least not in my face. I'm learning! I feel like in El Salvador when I sit in this restaurant. Very authentic. Hopefully, my evaluation does not lead to gentrification. I recommend it. And on Friday Pupusa is only $1,99!

This place is usually my spot for Popusas for many years, even before they expanded and remodeled their restaurant. They have very good dishes overall. On my last visit I ordered green chilaquiles steak which was excellent. What I appreciated the most was the OM eggs, they were perfect. My husband enjoyed their tender steak a whole lot. Drove into this place completely by accident. Out of town for funeral and looking for a good breakfast joint. Found this little hole in the wall and took a chance. The food was delicious and soooo tasty, waitress was so friendly and wonderful. Prices were worth the meal. Found this Salvadoran restaurant just walking down the street in El Monte while waiting for my car to be tinted. And what a pleasant surprise! The food was phenomenal! So delicious ?, authentic, good portions and affordable prices. The service was amazing as well! I will drive one hour from LA just to enjoy their food and service! I highly recommend this place!
The daily specials are AWESOME! The selection is great. They messed up a TO GO order the 1st time I tried them but I went back when the same staff was there again to be compensated the missing item. I will try and go back again and again to sample most of the menu here!
