This is our second time here, our first experience was great. Today was a super hard miss for them. It took minutes to get my appetizer, a Caesar salad. We were at the restaurant for just shy of an hour by the time my “prawn” gnocchi arrived. They were out of things on the menus, normally acceptable under most circumstances but their menu is so small that the one item missing on the entree section accounts for of the selection. The excuse was they had a busier then expected Friday, well today is a Saturday call your monger and get more product you had a whole day! My server; some guy, was just disgruntled to borderline rude, the other server that came by time to time a lovely lady who served...

We have gone to Lost at Sea on a couple occasions in the past and enjoyed the food very much. This was my girl friend's birthday and her special request was that we eat there. I booked the reservation for on last Sunday evening. We arrived to find the door locked and no one in the restaurant. Looking through the window, we saw the tables set and everything apparently ready for service, but no one there. I called the restaurant's phone number and no one answered. There was no sign on the door or other indication of what was going on. We waited minutes outside, then walked over to another restaurant where we had dinner. When done, we walked back past Lost at Sea. It was still closed with no si...

Dissapointed with food and service. We went at 7:30 during a weeknight and the place was totally empty except for two couples. The waiter was not well-informed about the dishes and was not very attentive. He never came to ask how our food was or whether we needed anything else. He appeared very interested in dealing with other couples , filling their waters , joking with them and spending a fair amount of time chatting with them. The oysters were disappointing a little too fishy...there was no horseradish to mask this. The charred octopus with mole was very good but the waiter did not ask whether the tuile was gluten free even after we asked him to inquire. The gnocchi with scallops was blan...

Overall, pretty good. Great oysters and appetizers. They also have house wine by the carafe, which we really appreciated. The entrees were ok, but nothing special. We got the market fish, which was well cooked, but kind of boring, and the scallop gnocchi, which was quite bland. The scallops were also not seared at all, so they were pretty plain. It’s cool that they have the option of a prix fixe menu, which my boyfriend ordered. This came with a dessert, which was pretty yummy. One thing to be aware of is that they were out of a lot of things, even though they have a tiny menu. It was pm on a Friday, so this was pretty odd. Overall, would come back, but would probably just get wine and apps.

I liked the venue a lot and the menu they have. The disappointing thing was that they ran out of dishes from we wanted to order. Those two are rated very high in Lost at Sea's reviews and it should be very obvious from procurement stand point that they are in demand. That is why I marked a lower overall rating. Food is great. If you are foodie, this is the right spot for you.

The food was delicious. The best I had in sometime. Service was good but the place was not crowded. Nice casual environment for laid back Angelinos. A bit expensive but I would pay again for the quality of the food. Reserva una mesa ahora

One of the best meals in Pasadena ! Such a gem. The quality of ingredients is top notch and the chef Tim elevated them with the effortless ease of a master chef. Such an unbelievable treasure in Pasadena!
