We ordered takeaway chicken chow mien and when I picked it up, early evening, the restaurant was empty. This may have been coincidental.The meal was bland and chicken breast, at the moment, is cheap. Cost was $18.50 and the vegetable content was low and ordinary.This is a pleasant, hard working community. I have no idea how well the restaurant is doing. It is unlikely to be doing well.I also imagine this is a great family trying hard to make a living.Quite frankly I do not plan to return. But I wonder, and I am no professional, that if they served authentic Chinese cuisine (or even a "separate" part of their menu to cater for customers seeking this), whether that would help?Then I would give...
It was not busy but the food was great and the service friendly. The first time I have been to this Chinese restaurant but I think it has been there for many years. I ordered my usual satay and my friends had a variety of dishes all were fine and prices were abut what you expect in restaurants these days (not budget dining) Although prices are on par with country Asian restaurants.
This is one of the best gluten free friendly restaurants I have found and the food is delicious. Choice of dishes, caters for a range of palates. The fried marinated Quail a favourite with the group. On top all this the owners go out of their way to be accommodating. We have been to the restaurant numerous times and the visits always a most enjoyable experience.
Incredibly quick service - almost too quick as I felt we had only just ordered! The food we ordered was very tasty, tasted "real", not thick and saucy. We only ordered a main course (the equivalent of one dish each plus special fried rice) and it was quite expensive, and probably could have done with another dish really.

The food was hot and fresh. Not many people in the restaurant but plenty of take away food was ordered while we were there. The waiter was pleasant and the service was quick. We would go back there again.
I go to Lotus Garden for lunch a lot and the occasional dinner for years now. It never disappoints, best Chinese food around, I love it and would definitely recommend it for sure. Try it today :)

Great food . The owner is your waitress ánd will always do her utmost to make your food and visit a very pleasant experience. We can recommend the Honey peppered beef as a must try.

Family run and excellent service. I have been coming to lotus garden for years. The food is quite good and prices are reasonable.
