L'oustal - Reservar una mesa

We visited Uzes for the Saturday market, and it was ridiculously crowded. Cafe de l’Oustal was nicely situated under the arches around the main market square. It was very busy, but they found a table for the eight of us we were originally just wanting a drink, but were told we could only have a table if we ate as well gf air enough on such a busy day. The menu was nicely varied, two of us had steak tartare, two a tuna ceviche which was dish of the day, one had a burger, one a Caesar salad, one a Salade de Chèvre Chaud. Place aux Herbes is a great place to enjoy the ambiance of Uzes at dinner. While the food only qualifies as good, and there is nothing wrong with that, the restaurant picks up huge points for location and a very friendly staff. Rafael took great care of us and helped with a wine selection. We both had the entre cote steak with peppercorn sauce. Again, good not great. Slightly overcooked from our request but who complains about that in this environment. All in all we were very happy with our dinner and have no hesitation in recommending.

We had a lovely dinner here with friends who live in the area. The food was very good. The ambiance was lovely especially children playing in the entire of the square. All in all a very enjoyable experience.

Excellent service thanks Loic. Very good and fresh food. We have order a mix of plates and it was delicious. I am highly recommending this place right on Uzes main square

Excellent lunch on Sunday. Speedy service. We enjoyed a huge goats cheese salad and then the salmon special. Good oozy chocolate fondant for pudding.
