In a week of high stress, it was delightful to come to Lu Lu. The service, even though it was clear some of the waitresses were still learning, was friendly, attentive and helpful. You felt that someone was always looking out to see if you needed something without being overbearing or fussy. The menu was expansive for a suburban restaurant. The choices we made were all winners. The tamarind flavoured sticky chicken wings were deliciously moist. The signature dish of spicy coconut prawns of a flavour that kept you wanting to spoon the remaining broth over the rice just to make the flavour linger longer. The food is a little more pricier than cheap Vietnamese places but the place is a lot nicer and the service is A1 ... We tried vietnamese Pork and prawn paper rolls and grilled meat served on metal leaves. Both were very nice The vietnamese pancake was tasty but could have done with more filling... We also had the Vietnamese stew , a first for us, served with Vietnamese bread... The owner told us the bread is a french influence..The meat was succulent and delicious ..We enjoyed our meal and will go back.The service was excellent and we will definitely go back...
Had dinner at Lulu on Sunday night and was very impressed. Very attentive friendly service from Don one of the owners. We tried the crab rice paper rolls and prawns with crunchy green rice and both were very good. So fresh and light like good Vietnamese should be.We then shared a pho, Lulu rice and soft shell crab salad. So good!!Great to have such a good local-could walk weather permitting and no traffic or parking hassles. Great quality food, funky decor and lovely service. Well done Lulu!!
Lu Lu has tasty Vietnamese cuisine, beautifully presented. The decor is clean, interesting and classy. The service is excellent. The barramundi soup was delicious. Lu Lu is the perfect stop off for a meal on the way home. Lu Lu has only opened recently and they are in the process of obtaining a liquor licence which will hopefully come through shortly. A great addition to High Street dining.

This was our second visit and our first very good experience was not repeated.The food is still good, but this time the service was very slow (the restaurant certainly wasn't full).Then there's the new license charges for BYO ... the website says BYO welcome but at $5 per person and per bottle this is seriously outrageous.Don't think we'll be returning.
went there once on friday night, the food was surprisingly tasty, really enjoyed it. the only thing was it was a bit pricey for vietnamese and for its location, if it was cheaper would be going back on regular basis.
We were exited. A new local Vietnamese restaurant! Very disappointed. The food was bland and overpriced. It's back to Victoria Street for us. A shame really because it's a good location and could have been a winner.
We went there when it first opened. The food was vey bland. After about six months we returned. The food is very much improved - better seasoned and tastier.

Lulus is our local go to restaurant! Very high quaility Food. Awesome taste!. Very professional. The owners are lovely too.! My favourite restaurant!
Very good spring rolls. Other food ordinary. Lots of room for improvement. Good local Vietnamese food.
