I was in town visiting my mom and wanted my husband, who is Colombian, to experience the unique cuisine and atmosphere of this hidden gem. Mom called ahead to make sure they would have some of her favorite, the spicy beef stew, and they made sure they had plenty for us. I ordered fried pork with coleslaw and plantains. What a surprise when they also brought an entire heaping plate of beans and rice. Delicious! The slaw was vinegary and very spicy served over lots of tender pieces of pork. The ample plantain slices thick and crispy to die for! This is my new favorite, though I dearly loved the goat last time I was there. My favorite place! Its better than Robert's beside the Main moon, Treasures down beside the liquor store FAR more superior than that trash joint uptown by the 10 Pin Bowling Alley !! I had the Java Crunch cake with pineapple on top, and it was delicious. Both the drinks and dessert were really good!
