This place is the quintessential hole in the wall restaurant, and I mean that in the BEST possible way. How is it that I 've driven by this place so many times without even realizing it was there? We wanted pizza the other night, but wanted something better than the traditional fast food chain pizza joints. I found Ma Dukes on yelp because of its great reviews. I 'm so glad I did. we have come since the day they opened, and have tried to survive their small business with COVID shutdowns. we are so happy that they are still alive and blossom, but wish they were opened again for lunch! my wife and I are totally moved to work-of-home and they are only 3 blocks away, so they were ours to go to lunch. what the food and other reviews (we have eaten their food 45 times or more, while some flatbreads (they are not pizzas! have not been as much to our desire as others, their eating is fantastic! we have eaten and have traveled the world, eat, and these young are really good. and it is nice to see that they have made the yelp! 100 top spots in l. a.
if you gf then this is the place for them! they make their own crust! not use the prefabricated flower cauliflower cardboard tasting crust other places. bleh! I had the wisegirl pizza with the rustic Italian salad. so amazing! I recommend ma dukes! for dessert I had the gf beignets were the perfect end to a super delicious, satisfying eating! I'll be back! I can't believe I haven't reviewed one of my favorite spots in Conejo Valley. Some of my favorites are the Wiseguy with artichoke hearts and the Chipo-Lu Smokes Pasta. Isaiah, Moises, and the crew are the absolute best. You've gotta try a bite. Best takeout full of flavor.
