I've had my share of bad meals, but this was on another level. The fried rice tasted like it came out of a microwave, and the sushi had the hardest rice I've ever experienced. Honestly, you could probably get better sushi at Walmart—I'm not kidding. The food was terrible; the sashimi was not fresh and sliced so thin it was practically a joke. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. There's another restaurant in Mt. Pleasant that's far superior. I will never return! Don't make the mistake of dining here.

This hidden gem in Mount Pleasant serves the best sushi I've ever had outside of Plano/Frisco. I ordered 10 pieces of tuna sashimi, which were incredibly fresh and delivered daily from Dallas. Although the selection of ingredients for the rolls may be more limited than in larger cities, the food was still exquisite. The restaurant itself was very clean, and the staff was incredibly patient and helpful. If I could, I would give this place six stars!

I order from this restaurant quite often, but recently I've noticed they've been very stingy with the wasabi and ginger. I had to pay for my ginger, but they didn’t inform me it was just a tiny portion. The wasabi was watered down and lacked any spice, and the picture clearly shows it's much thinner compared to what wasabi typically is. It's disappointing that they would treat loyal customers this way without any prior warning.

My husband and I decided to give Maak a try today while passing through Mt. Pleasant, as we were in the mood for sushi. Unfortunately, we were quite let down by the sushi. The rice was unseasoned, which made all the rolls we sampled, including the nigiri, taste bland. On a positive note, the appetizers, staff, service, and overall ambiance were delightful. We really hope they begin seasoning their rice to enhance their sushi. Reserva una mesa ahora

The staff here are very nice and friendly, and the atmosphere is enjoyable with well-presented food. However, I don't particularly care for the taste. I've tried all of their sushi, and it has a fast-food quality that I don’t appreciate. If you're expecting traditional sushi, this might not be the place for you. Still, I do come here when some of my coworkers want to dine out.

The server at the front of the house welcomed us, took care of us, served us, and was very knowledgeable and helpful in taking our order. He suggested a dish for our older daughter who was unsure of what to order, and she ended up enjoying it. He was a true gentleman and I wish I could remember his name. Hopefully he reads this review - maybe he'll remember our granddaughter?

The restaurant has a very inviting appearance from the street. As a vegetarian, I was offered only one type of roll, and I wish it had been the one with seaweed on the outside. I found it a bit lacking in flavor, and the slices were quite small. My husband tried various shrimp, salmon, and crab rolls and was very pleased. Definitely worth a visit to see for yourself.

The food was excellent. We brought our 3-year-old named Paisley and ordered her a grilled cheese. She ended up being more interested in the fries, so we tried the sandwich ourselves. It was the best restaurant grilled cheese we have ever had. Reserva una mesa ahora

The food was fresh and delicious. It was a bit on the pricier side, but for just a few extra dollars, you get some high-quality food. I will definitely be returning to try everything on their menu.
