I had the chance to dine at this restaurant recently, and unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. The food did not meet even basic expectations, earning a low rating for flavor and quality. The service was also lacking, with staff appearing unresponsive and uninterested. Additionally, the atmosphere felt dull and uninviting, not making for a pleasant dining environment. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant based on my experience.

I had dinner at this restaurant, and overall, it was quite enjoyable. The food was excellent, earning a solid 4 out of 5. The service, however, was the standout aspect of the meal, with attentive and friendly staff that made the experience even better—definitely a 5 out of 5 for service. As for the atmosphere, while it was pleasant, it didn’t quite reach the same level as the food and service, so I’d rate it 3 out of 5. All in all, it was a great value for the price!
WOW. Talk about good vibes! Mac and Joes may just be the spot to be in Oxford Ohio. unbelievable ambiance, phenomenal service, and don't even get me started on that pumpkin white Russian. Truly something special. They somehow capture the beauty of a quaint college town along with the realities that come with life's everyday woes. If you take anything away from this review it should be this: Head on down to mac and joes you really won't regret it. From the Plum island to that truly delectable pumpkin white russian that i referred to earlier, you can't go wrong with their array of specialty adult beverages. #BOOYAH!
I think Max Joes is the best restaurant/bar in town and love that it's down the alley! I fantastic burger cooked medium rare with homemade blue cheese and bacon not to mention crispy tater tots. The beer was cold and fresh too! Great service, clean, and good tvs for sports.
