We visited the restaurant last night as a family of four and had a delightful experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Our meal lasted about two hours, during which we thoroughly enjoyed both the food and the atmosphere. The seafood chowder was delicious, and the children's half servings of soup were quite generous. From the baked fish to the venison burger and the chicken macduff, the main courses matched the starters in quality, and the desserts were equally impressive. Overall, it was honest, high-quality dining at an excellent value, making it perfect for families.
When our food arrived, the portions were generous and absolutely delicious. The staff remained very attentive despite the busy atmosphere, making time to engage in friendly conversation and providing excellent customer service. I didn't take many photos of the food this time as we were all quite hungry. The burgers are always a delight, but the highlight for me was the chicken Caesar salad—it was one of the best I’ve ever had! So delicious! We will definitely be back. There’s truly nothing to criticize about this place.
Brilliant place. Was busy when we arrived but by the time we ordered a drink we had our table. Food was delicious. I had a burger and it was cooked perfectly. My friend had chilli and the portion was really big. Chocolate cheesecake for her dessert and sticky toffee pudding for myself and both were thoroughly enjoyed. Staff worked extremely hard as it was busy, but still joked and smiled with the customers.
What a charming little gem! The home-cooked food is fantastic, set in a cozy and inviting atmosphere. It's nearly a five-star experience, although the service was a bit chaotic. The staff were friendly and accommodating, even if they seemed a bit hurried. I had the chicken curry, and it was absolutely delicious! I wouldn't hesitate to return if I'm in the area again.

they stay at macdonald lodges and came here as we have 2 dogs and what I can say excellent service food. the staff was brilliant, the food was excellent and although there did not order a sweet, they brought two spoons to share and our 2 four-legged friends were made very welcome with dish water and tasty. very happy to recommend macdui’s.
Outstanding service and great food! The chilli nachos were the best we’ve ever tasted and the main courses were equally as good. There was also a good drinks selection. We took our dog with us and he was made to feel so welcome. He was given a bowl of water and some treats as soon as we arrived. We will be back!
I was in Aviemore with my daughter and two dogs, looking for a place where we could dine with our pets. We were warmly welcomed, and our dogs were treated nicely with water and a tasty little snack. The menu was great, the food delicious, and the staff were fantastic. We will definitely come back to Aviemore!
Very friendly and very dog friendly staff. Dog treats and water at the doggie service counter for customers to give to their favourite furry friends.
