sitting there this afternoon with little ele, the 6 was, had the children of the afternoon who consisted of sandwiches with fresher sawn and jam plus small minicake, and I must say it was lush ele especially loved to eat with hot black johannisbeer juice in a teekanne and in the position to pour it into her teetasse like a very grown-up cake so that it was necessary to pour it out so much worth for money. ellie already asks when we can go back! my lemon driz0z0le cake and tee were also delicious
we came with and had the Victorian afternoon for two, we were not disappointed. the sandwiches were beautiful, the skorn huge and tasty and the cake, I had lemon drops and my girlfriend had the coffee and nut tree, were incredible! the teeroom itself is a beautiful warm corner of margate, and jamie and heidi have breathed new life into a wonderful place!
Thank you to all at the Mad Hatter for making my birthday special yesterday. Everyone loved the experience. The best homemade afternoon tea in Margate with delicious scones and a selection of cakes to die for, all made by the owners. Plus a glass of champagne, can't ask for more. And now the garden is open, a lovely sun trap. Bliss.....
my first visit to this amazing restaurant during a visit back in margate of nowa scotia. incredible location and spatial features combined with super friendly, courteous owners/caves and delicious food made the lunch a wonderful experience. I recommend this restaurant and woul definitiw another time back.

Lovely place right in the heart of Margate. The vintage atmosphere and the lovely view of the street create something really unique. The tea room is clean and tidy and the cakes are fresh and delicious, my espresso was very tasty too! 100/5 stars! :
A really lovely little place, beautiful cosy decor and a great little garden outdoor seating area. The staff were amazing, and the food was really great. We had a savory and sweet afternoon tea and some coffees. All was delicious.
everything they expect in a tea shop and so much more. I will recommend it to everyone. one of the best afternoon teas I ever had, as the mad hadr has hearty afternoon teases as well as the traditional sweets based. Thank you.
Amazing querky coffee/tea house. Food is 10/10 delicious, staff are very friendly, place is clean and well decorated. Quiet vintage music playing in the background.
