Maggies Town Tavern

I have been here a bunch since it opened but this last time was disappointing. Went in and there was a wait, started to see other tables that came after us be sat down, inquired about it twice and hostess had just skipped over the name (honest mistake but recognition or an apology woul'dve been nice)...Ordered a salad that was supposed to come with quinoa and farro, the waiter brought it out, no quinoa or farro, I inquired and he said the kitchen ran out. Would've been nice to know before I ordered it? I was more annoyed that we were still charged the full $24 for a salad that was lacking one of the main ingredients. Hopefully just a hiccup day for them, cause I used to really like this spot...

Dined in with the wife tonight, had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated. I ordered the Reuben, was good but the bottom half was all soggy while the top was crisp and roasted. Smaller than one you'd see at a typical NJ diner, good flavor though. Fries needed a bit longer in the fryer. My wife got the full rack of ribs, didn't think $29 was good value as they were very dry. The excess BBQ sauce seemed to try to redeem the overdone meat.Parking: Lot fills up quick

Maggie's Tavern offers a fantastic dining experience with exceptional service from their staff, particularly Marianne. The new menu items, including the wings and pizza, were cooked to perfection and had amazing flavor. The drinks made by Marianne were delicious and a highlight of the visit. Overall, I highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a great meal and excellent service.

Girl that answered the phone didn't know what a bar pie was. Said they no longer carried it. After I explained she understood but forgot I wanted sausage. Anyway we got it all straightened out and as usual I was very happy with my pizza. ThanksFood: 3/5

The server Gabriel was fast, friendly, efficient. I special requested a wing dry rub, he suggested Cajun seasoning and it was exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for Thriving with me and my dad in '23 Gabriel!Food: 5/5
