I love this place! We come here a lot as we live nearby. The views, the atmosphere and the lovely staff are what truly make it great. I like the fish tacos the most but the gluten free fish n chips are amazing and a lot of fish too. I wish they had a gluten free pasta option as I’d get the mushroom pasta for sure! My husband had it and it’s amazing. Our daughter loves the keiki burger. The ulu is also delicious. Our favorite dessert is the chocolate lava cake with kona coffee ice cream for sure. The beach shack outside is also great for a quick snack etc. We will be back! We enjoyed a sunset dinner while watching a few boogie boarders ride huge waves. Our server, Jay, suggested we add the lemon risotto to our choice of the seafood trio. It was a perfect match. He also fed off our jokes, adding to an already magical experience. The chef is creative, able to cook things to perfection, and combine wonderful complimentary flavors. Amazing table right on the water. Food was excellent and wasn’t a long wait. The food runner, hostess and waitress were all very attentive. Our waitress, Samantha really made the night special! Her menu recommendations were on point and she made all of us feel like we were old friends. As a returning Hawaii resident, I can’t believe it took me so long to try this place. Walked in and the two hostesses ignored us. One was talking to some customers who were leaving, then walked away to go fix the sign outside. The other hostess was wiping menu's and also ignoring us. I said hello and asked if we could get a table for two. She made no eye contact and walked us to a hightop by the window. We sat there for almost 10 minutes, nobody came by, nobody greeted us, no water, nothing. We decided to go somewhere else and had a fabulous dinner at the Fish Hopper. I have not had the experience of the grill yet, but it's on my list. I absolutely love the the open air stand for breakfast. They have masadas and the best English muffins that are homemade ever. Caramel macchiato is my favorite and I've had several. I love this little place. It has areas to sit and wash the waves and enjoy the views of the beach. Gray area. Great food. Insane views of Magic Sands Beach and right on the ocean make this a can't-miss spot. I really recommend the fried fish sandwich, but their ceviche and fish and chips were also wildly popular with our group. The staff was very friendly and helpful with suggestions, and the cocktails are excellent. If you mezcal, the mezcalerita is definitely worth trying! Awesome food and service. We watched a gorgeous sunset while enjoying the catch of the day that was grilled to perfection. Our server J was fantastic, providing the perfect suggestions. Auntie’s Mai Tai, Caesar salad with shrimp, Burrata salad with shrimp. Mai Tai was wonderful. Caesar salad was average. Burrata cheese was good but too much honeydew and not enough lettuce for my taste. Both shrimp orders were wonderful. Great service. Super friendly staff. Great location. Reservations needed.
