Whilst staying in Clare to ride the Riesling Trail I stopped int his bakery to get some fresh bread. As I entered I was greeted by a smile from a woman behind the counter who asked what I would like. I couldn't give her an answer for quite a few minutes because there were so many cakes and slices I had not seen made anywhere else. There were too many temptations to choose from. I eventually chose a date and nut slice and I wasn't disappointed. The Bake House Bakery is a draw card to Clare alone. It is definitely worth stopping in there for a sweet treat.
Did coffee and tea here, was impressed, got served with a smile and some banter ( don't see that much anymore) As I drank my tea I observed that not only our server (Paige) was pleasant but all the girls were happy, smiling and pleasant. Well done management for either training the staff well or employing the right people. Will definitely come back and sample some of your other wares before I leave the valley.
A busy place with excellent generous servings.We were pleasantly surprised to see the range of food available . Focaccia was perfect - and they do double cut rolls !Desserts were very nice - filled me up !Great staff , located centrally , plenty of seating
Went to get some slice for afternoon tea. No prices displayed. Choose 2 pieces of date and walnut slice. Not huge slices. Cost $11. My husband had lunch at the local pub for less than that. Sure they taste nice. Not sure worth that much.

Good knowledge of gluten free for coeliacs and did a GF toasted wrap, milkshake and ice cream - golden north. Also other food for the rest of the family.
We visit every time we come to Clare. The pastries are delicious. The coffee is good and the little complimentary biscuit is a nice touch.
The food and coffee were pretty decent, but the service was better. Great people happy to be at work which made the visit very pleasant
Pie was average at best and wait time for coffee was too much, took over 15 mins to come out. Will go elsewhere next time.

Great stop very friendly place great coffee and the pastries are to die for.Located in the Main Street perfect.
