I have seen quite a few reviews (of this and other places where people feel that they get a bad service if they don 't speak French. Stopped by after lunch for something sweet. It's on the main street so it wasn't hard to find. Plenty of different pastries by the window and more baked goods (sweet and savory options) by the counter. I picked the mille-feuille since it looked quite nice. On hindsight, it wasn't the best food to eat and walk with but it was tasty. The sweet pastries there were also quite nice. It did look like the pastries were made elsewhere as other boulangeries also had similar items.
when craving something delicious and sweet in val d'sere. we found ourselves surrounded by several branches of Maison Chevallot. Unfortunately we didn't have a good desert during the the hole trip . the cakes and entremets were very disappointing and somethings were not fresh , even not edible such as the salaisons cheese sticks which were soft and humid and old. In such locations where people needed chocolate, too bad they don't do better .

Great place perfect for a robust breakfast before skiing. The service is nice, smiling, efficient and fast. The choice of cakes, biscuits, croissants and patisseries is just amazing, and everything is good there. I mention breakfast, but you can go there for a snack too in the afternoon after so much effort on the slopes...or just get there a beautiful dessert for your dinner at home.
Nous avons découvert cette boulangerie par hasard et n’avons pas été déçus : viennoiseries excellentes, très bon pain, sandwiches goûteux. C’est très bon et les vendeurs/euses sont très attentionnés et polis. Les prix sont un peu plus élevés qu’en vallée et le choix est limité si on arrive en milieu de matinée.
we go regularly to the claret store, the choice has never been so poor. more apricotines while they were delicious. a measurable patisserie. having only one pastry on, is not an excuse, maybe managing with such a ratio is to review even if the staff is rare. disappointment
Amazing array of sweet and savoury treats. The Chevallot in the centre of town does these amazing chorizo baguettes which are like pizza dough and are unbelievably addictive. Never fails :

A delicious bakery. They have an authentic french baguette, so delicious. The pastries are fresh and full of flavour. Worth a visit
Rude rude and rude . Young girl with pony tail needs serious training in customer service . No excuse for bad manners ever .
