Ok, first thing first. This is an end of a pier restaurant. Normally I'd give a huge +1 for simply not being a gross cash cow. But WOW, this is out of the park end of the pier goodness. I'm sitting here in the sun on a blustery April day, all tucked up behind a protective glass shield watching the pelicans, pretty much full in love with this place. Our waiter, Steve was amazing! He was friendly and even took a great photo of our group of 4! We arrived about 30 minutes before closing time! Totally understand this is not ideal for any restaurant; however, Steve did not pressure us and was very friendly! Now, on to the food! The crab Rangoons were delish. As for the rest of the food, nobody really enjoyed their entrees. The fried rice was extremely salty and oily, the poke bowl was gross and has sweet fruit nuts that just didn't go with the other flavors (imo), the Hawaiian spin on the pad thai was disappointing- it lacked the boldness that the traditional thai version is known to have. Totally outstanding. Went on Saturday at prime time and were seated right away with our 6:30 reservation. Cool walking over the viewing windows in the floor seeing the sea lions below. Drinks were great! Such a selection from the cool tropical menu. Original 1944 Mai Tai, Venus Saturn and Painkiller. Very cool glasses, too. We'll be back to try some others. If you're in search of a lively pirate-themed restaurant that evokes the spirit of Pirates of the Caribbean, along with Hawaiian cuisine and stunning views of Santa Cruz, all set around a rotating bar area, then this is the place for you. Always on the lookout for unique experiences and delicious food, I found the pulled pork a bit too dry for my liking, but the drinks were enjoyable and full of excitement.

Very disappointed in the experience... had a reservation but wasn't needed as they weren't as crowded as I would've expected on a Friday evening. Even with a reservation on a not-so busy night didn't get a window seating. Service was incredibly slow. Food was mediocre at best. Worst calamari appetizer I have ever had.... bland and overdone... kind of like deep fried cardboard.
The food is not that great and tastes as if a leftover. we ordered the salmon and the mahimahi plates which are $25 each and the plate comes with heated frozen vegetables and clumsy white rice and the fish is cooked without any flavors and it seems to be a frozen kind. I would go to a different seafood restaurant next time.
The host appeared reluctant to be there and seemed disinterested in taking our name for a table. However, the waitress was friendly and went out of her way to assist us. Unfortunately, the food was lacking in flavor and not prepared to our liking.
I had an incredible dining experience at this restaurant! The food was delicious and perfectly prepared, the service was attentive and friendly, and the views were absolutely stunning.

Love this place, the food is great, fantastic views, only issue is that they are consistently under staffed. But the rotating bar is a must
