Makis Yiros BBQ & Takeaway

The worst fish and chips I have eaten in my 6 years living in Australia. Fish grilled on the same hot plate as the beef and lamb. The small portion of fish tasted of meat and burnt oil. The service was chaotic and we had to beg for a plastic fork, no seasoning was offered or serviettes. I asked for a salad and even through there were plentiful on view, I was refused saying he had no salad. Clearly he wanted the salad for kebabs etc. The owner was abrupt and rude to us. I would never return to this venue again.

Don't bother getting food here! The worst service...so rude. I was ignored for ages then once they finally took my order they were rude then some how forgot my order and then left stuff out once I reminded them after waiting ages again what my order was. The quality of food was disgusting and over priced. Service terrible. The store was disgustingly filthy with dead cockroaches in the dinning area! I'll never come here again I can't believe this place hasn't been shut down before for poor hygiene!

Lots of fish and chips shops on jetty rd. Makis yiros is not really a fish and chip shop but they do sell fish and chips. Best value chips and a big bag of golden Crispy,salty, hot chips. If you like wedges don't come here. If your a fan of the crunchy ones, you will be delighted. Family run, old school perfect. Added bonus your by the beach.

Simply the worst yiros I've ever tried. Wasn't edible. Meat just sits there not even turning. Probably been there since day before. Meats in a tray and reheated. Yiros was cold when served. Spoke to older gentleman behind the counter. Was rude and could not see the problem. Food poisoning waiting to happen!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!! Reserva una mesa ahora

My wife and I have eaten from Makis for the past 24 years..when ever we are in Glenelg. He simply has the best Yiros. The garlic sauce is a bonus. The lamb just melts in your mouth and you know you are tasting great lamb.

Sunday night and although this is away from most shops obviously a lot of locals were prepared to wait! They ran out of lamb and we had a pizza with the lot. Fantastic -so full!!

We grabbed two Yiros for a quick lunch bite while waiting for the tram to Adelaide and we were very disappointed. The salad wasn't extremely fresh and the meat overdone.

Great little spot with a traditional Greek dude.. Then ate at the Glenelg beach which was great.. Reasonably priced however chips weren't the best Reserva una mesa ahora

It looks a bit down at heal and the staff a bit taciturn but don't be deceived by appearances. The yiros is top knotch

Basic fish and chips. Nothing extraordinary however good and tasty. Guy behind the counter not a great personality.
