Makla Bistro - Reserva de mesa

I was visiting bournemouth on a weekend break and was told about this restaurant being a great place to eat, we had a reservation and asked if we could sit in the main restaurant and not downstairs, we were spoken to rudely but defused the...situation and were ready to sit and order dinner. I then simply asked a polite question about another table that had become available with more space only to be rudely confronted by another member of staff who then tried to justify his bad attitude. Needless to say we left and wont be going back.

we traveled from london and were recommended by our Airbnb host. we called and were disappointed to hear that the restaurant was fully booked. but we wanted to make a drink and could get a table quickly. the live music was...big and the tracks in the bar we are very much. josh was super amazing and helpful! the food came within ten minutes and was delicious the lamb was such a great part, we had to take it away. the interior design and other employees were also very friendly. they have a button to call the taxi. will be coming back!

I have visited this restaurant a few times before had a lovely time, Friends had come down for the weekend I wanted to take them here as well. I had booked a table we turned up on time, the lady server came...up to us said we were downstairs which I asked if we could sit in the main restaurant which tables were available. She became very rude when I didn’t agree to sit where they wanted us to, her colleague then came over his attitude was even worse. So we left we won’t be going back.

we tried makla for the first time after we heard very complementary reviews from our friends. it wasn't disappointed. the personal could not have been more helpful, especially josh, who was very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. we had lambs and a bit of mezze. very fresh and plentiful. the cocktails were made our specifications. all in all, a perfect evening. we will return. First lunch at Makla since their recent renovations. Loving the new addition of the mini mezzanine, which adds to their funky cosy vibe. Eleanor was very welcoming and attentive, and was happy to seat us at peak sunday lunchtime without pre-booking. Food was super fresh...as always.

We came as a four (two couples) for dinner and drinks. Our waitress was Roxy who was very friendly and attentive she made it a great experience. The food was also excellent. Would definitely return. Roxy also found and kindly kept aside my friends...phone which she’d left behind.

Brilliant service from Sarah added to our visit to Makla. Loved the ambience, especially in the Mezzanine (mind your head if you're tall: Food was amazing. Great portions. sadly, too full for pudding....next time.
