Malt N Hops - Reserva de mesa

Was in the area for Bolton v AFC Wimbledon and a friend from Preston told me that it was best to drink in Chorley before the game rather than head to the stadium. Arrived at noon, and made my way to the main street to work my way back to the train station. After drinking in the White Bull and the Cookoo's Nest, both ok pubs, but not really my thing, and then the Bob Inn located in Chorley Market which raised the bar, and then the Shephards Ale house (which again raised the bar) before making my way to meet freinds in the final pub that came up in my research, which was the Malt N Hops. Like the previous 3 pubs in Chorley I visited, did not fail to deliver on the good craft beer/real ale scen...

My wife and I were visiting Chorley for the first time and went to Malt N Hops with a couple of friends. This is a real gem of a pub. Quite olde worlde but spotlessly clean. The bar staff know their game and were extremely efficient and friendly. Very good prices and a great range of beers in a lovely old boozer. BTW, it's just a couple of minutes walk from Chorley railway station. We hope to return in the not too distant future. Cheers!

Very handy for the Soiuthbound platform (side entrance). I stopped off for an hour on my journey South back to Bolton. The pub offers a dozen or so good cask ales on my visit there were many favourites including two from the nearby Blackedge Brewery and Goose Eye Chinook from near Keighley. Amazing value sandwiches and pies are on offer most of the time.

What delightful staff. Very accommodating finding a quiet table and reading glasses. Cheap and cheerful tasty food in cosy comfortable setting next to the Leeds to Liverpool canal Delicious beef burger tasty fries and yummy coleslaw left my taste buds very satisfied indeed. Must have visited six/seven times recently while working nearby terrific selection of cask beer, all local great condition, great prices and amazing value sandwiches too friendly knowledgeable staff and similarly decent fellow customers

Another decent public house to visit if you are in Chorley. Beers are very well kept and has a very good atmosphere. Landlord made us feel very welcome. Dog friendly as well. Bar snacks available.

A great selection of beers, and spirits. Fresh sandwiches. Great selection of music played and live music on Sundays. Fantastic atmosphere a great pub.

First visit and a proper pub. Lovely Victorian interior with a great choice of real ales. Just behind chorley station.
