Booked a table on short notice at 5pm they had availability at 7pm was nice to be informed on the phone what dishes weren't available. Got to the restaurant on time orderd starters and mains which were nice, went to the bar at 8.10 to order desserts but unfortunately was informed the kitchen was closed would have been nice to be informed this at time of booking or when ordering the food at the bar as we would have preferred mains and desserts rather than starters and mains, was our second visit unlikely to drive out that way to go back.
Visited for a Sunday roast. Food was average with overcooked meat and veg. Great pub if you are a dog owner, dogs everywhere. Our experience was ruined by a dog barking constantly at the table next to us. Dogs were sat on the furniture and we even saw one peeing up the walls. The pub should have a dog free area for people who don't want to sit and eat lunch with a dog barking in their ear
Had small plate fish chips which was plenty for me delicious. Had to wait for food but was notified how long the wait was as very busy. Sat outside as warm, sunny day, atmosphere great as plenty people outside with their dogs. They also welcome dogs inside even have a dog menu.
Great for dogs but not really for people. Food is very average and strongly priced for what they provide. Do you really want a dog pestering you while you are eating.

What a hidden little gem the Maltings is. Drinks, coffees, food, pleasant surroundings, indoor and outdoor seating, looked after by lovely friendly hosts and staff.
What an amazing place. Not only the most dog friendly pub (and my daughter runs one) but such friendly staff.a credit to your pub. Thanks. I'll be back very soon.
This is a fantastic pub! Food was lovely, service was great and really dog friendly! They supply beds, water bowls, and even have dog treats on the bar!
Absolutely perfect for dog friendliness and the food was amazing. Wonderful place to visit and set in a nice little out of the way area too

Went in for a quick light tea and a few beers. Top service from the staff Friday 9th. And the food is always tasty and reasonably priced.
First time visit sun was shining drinks were cold what more do you need. place had a good vibe if your in the area give it a try
