Mama Sanninos, is Family Style Southern Italian Food prepared with love by owner and chef Jimmy Sano the middle Brother of Three Sons fame his Father was Jimmy Sano, who opened Pisan 's on east Colfax, Jimmy Sanos on University Blvd in Bonnie Brae and moved to highlands where they remained until the Sons took over. Start with sausage and peppers, the Ravolli,Stuffed Shells and Baked Chicken are my favorites, the chicken is so moist and tender it melts in your mouth. finish with a nice dessert and coffee.
Mama Sanninos is one of those rare establishments where they take time to know their customers and bond with you like a family. Few places give you a level of service like Mama Sanninos. And let's not forget about the food, Jimmy is passionate about what he makes and I have never had an item on his menu that was anything less than superb (and I have been eating here since it first opened at the previous location).
I've known the Sano boys for many years. Her parents came from the same region as my ancestors. Her sauce tastes like my grandmother taught my dad that he went to me. This is one of the few Italian family restaurants. My favorite dish is the famous Italian chicken. Great! Everything is great so I highly recommend it. Bene bene!
