I attended with a large table of people, i gad heard about Mamasitas for awhile. The sangria we ordered tasted like cordial not like any we have had before. Everyone loved the corn and the Mojo chicken was lovely. The cheviche was a different story, I ordered the smaller size and didn't expect much fish as the dish is a bit expensive to make but what I got shouldn't be called cheivche. As this dish was mostly cucumber with a scoop of coconut ice cream. The ice cream was nice but does not go with this dish. The sauce also did not have enough lime. One of my companions asked about the ice cream believing it had to be something else. To have the staff member rudely tell her it was ice cream and...
When we first entered the staircase to Mamasita I wondered if this was for us - the long queue up the stairs actually made me confident. Surely that many people couldn't be wrong. Anyway, we only had to wait 15 minutes to be seated.Two hours later after a terrific meal, we were so pleased that we'd visited this eclectic gem on Collins Street..While there wasn't the usual mix of Nachos and Burritos on the Menu, the food was so tasty and not overly filling like normal Mexican fare.We would certainly visit again, if only for the soft Tacos and Quesadillas
Interesting Mexican food, lovely bar staff who try to help you. Lots of beverages to choose from. Menu is a little hard to read, at least there is light. Lots of choices to share with others. Not your traditional Mexican, some thought has gone into the menu and preparation.
Predictably and consistently good food and service. CORN CORN CORN - gotta have the corn, and tostadas - crab and prawns topped were great.Had a mojito - which was the best I have had anywhere - and was tempting to have a second - but had a full day to get through.

We had the feed me option which was just fantastic. Friendly and fast service, truly interesting Mexican food and drink. The sangria was perhaps a bit watery but really this is a minor issue A must visit if you like Mexican
Loved the atmosphere and service, food was good, although not entirely flavour combo's I typically love. Strong on the coriander and Spice (obviously) but overall a really awesome spot for Tapas.
Siamo stati a cena, veramente molto buono: piatti tipici della cucina messicana rivisti con un tocco di Australia (ottimi soprattutto i tacos). Non propriamente economico però ne è valsa la pena!
Our food was spectacular and our waitress was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and eager to spend a few minutes explaining the food and the endless mescal & tequilas available. Highly recommended.

Excellent service, very friendly staff, accommodating with food intollerances (ask for the food intolerance menu!!!) The civita (spelling??) is a must try and the Pina Coladas are awesome!!
Mamasita has great cocktails and delicious mexican food. Love the corn on the cob. Tacos and quesadillas plus the fried potatoes were yum. The tres leches cake was outstanding.
