I placed an online order for my mother. She is visiting from out of town and wanted chicken parm. I placed my order around 11:30am and arrived at the restaurant when the order said it was going to be ready, at 12pm. The girl behind the counter told me it wasn't ready yet and to take a seat. I sat at the front right in front of the front desk guy for ~40 minutes. I made eye contact numerous times with that guy, the woman that told me to wait, and other people behind the counter. I know how hard service people work so I wasn't about to rush them. Finally, I had enough and went up to the counter and the food HAD BEEN ready. This is my 3rd time at this location. 1st and 2nd experience were great. The food and service. This 3rd time was not a charm. We were served by Pamela and I’m not sure if she was having a bad day, but she didn’t get our order right even after repeating it 4 times after saying she understood. She had an attitude or didn’t feel like working, as she carried that same attitude with the next table. Our family loves coming here but her service was unpleasant. Hopefully she has a better service for next time.
My family visited Mama Lucia's in Shady Grove after being apart for a while, and we had a wonderful experience. Our waitress, Michelle, was exceptional; she truly deserves high praise for her outstanding service. Despite a medical emergency in the kitchen, she went above and beyond to ensure we had an enjoyable time. We will definitely be returning, not just for the delicious food, but specifically to dine with Michelle again. Sincerely, Taylor and family.
This is a genuine New York-style pizza! It could have used another minute in the oven to reach true NY quality, but it's still a solid pie. I have to update my review after trying the da Bruno pie. It was advertised as extra thin and crispy, but I ordered it well done, and it turned out lighter in color than the regular pies. Unfortunately, it wasn't very crispy, was quite dense, and the sauce had a heavy oregano flavor this time.

The food wasn’t very special. The service was decent but the different entrees were not flavorful including the pastas and salads. The accompanying bread was just toasted white bread and could not taste anything else. The atmosphere was just ok. We have had better Italian before and will not recommend.
Ordered Stromboli and Shrimp Scampi. I enjoyed the Stromboli although it was a bit light on the cheese. Sauce was fantastic. My wife was disappointed with the Shrimp Scampi. It was almost twice the cost of the Stromboli and she said the shrimp portion was way too small and dried out.
The bar was so welcoming for a new comer in the area. Victoria suggested the carbonara and it was phenomenal, I’m not from the area but i’ll definitely be back when I visit. 10/10
The Bolognese with pasta and a little spicy is delicious. But do not waste your $24 on the Shrimp Scampi. It has no flavor and comes with 4 small shrimp. It was so disappointing!

Take out today but dine in frequently. Always reliably excellent. Don't like red sauce, in general, but their marinara is a delicious exception. I love the chicken picatta.
