We have been eating here on a regular basis for a while now. We have taken friends as well as just going as a couple. It is positioned above the Jolly sailor pub so beware there are stairs to climb. There are seats as you enter along with a bar and a room at the back as well. Visited Wednesday evening for family meal. The steep wooden stairway was a challenge for an elderly lady. Seated on the window table overlooking the road with lots of natural light. The staff we very warm and welcoming and quickly to provide drinks including a bottle of house wine £16.95 and a bottle of beer £4.50. A nice easy to follow menu and some specials including Lobster Thermadore £32.50. We all chose a chicken breast served in a sauce for around £11 with either chips,veg or salad..very pleasant. Just disappointed that the bread rolls were slightly dry. We received complimentary bruschetta which was very nice and after the meal the owner came over and offered us a complimentary drink...

We ordered the muscles and black pudding for starters and they were delicious. I had chicken in chilli and tomato sauce and my partner had chicken in mushroom and cream sauce, the portions were huge! Both dishes were very tasty and accompanied by veg and chips. To finish we had tiramisu to share and a lovely bottle of red wine. The staff couldn’t have been more hospitable and welcoming. We will definitely go out of our way to go back

I went out with friends on Saturday and we started at the Italian restaurant down the road, but we were very disappointed. We ended up booking a table at this restaurant last minute and we were not disappointed at all. The service, food, price, and atmosphere were all excellent. Although it is a small restaurant, it is definitely a great one. This will be our first choice for dining out in the future. Reserva una mesa ahora

Fortunate to have this lovely restaurant in walking distance of us. Very friendly owners are always welcoming. Food always nicely cooked and tasty. Lots of favourites on the menu. Not had a bad meal here. Service is usually quick, first couple of times in the government deal a bit slow as suddenly had weekend numbers of people coming in but now much better. Nice specials. Highly recommended.

Been quite a few times now and tried a variety of meals are all very good. Nice service with good touches such as complimentary bruchetta and aperitif. Recommend the rib-eye steak which often appears on the specials menu.

First time at Mamma Mia and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was delicious, the restaurant had a nice atmosphere and the staff were very friendly and polite. We will definitely be back.
