MarÉ - Reserva de mesa

We had just arrived for a 2 night stay in Sesimbra and found this restaurant on our walk from our apartment into the centre. It was very busy when we arrived, however the waiter was very accommodating and asked us to wait 10 minutes when a table for 2 would become free. Very hungry we were glad we only had to wait 10 mins. When seated the waiter was very attentive and friendly. Couvert bread and cheese were gladly received as was the beer and vinho verde. We ordered sardines which were cooked to order, very fresh and tasty. I finished my meal off with an almond liqueur and a coffee. Food, drinks and service was excellent and very reasonably priced. I would not hesitate in coming back.

I visited on a Thursday lunchtime. We were siting close to the refrigerated window/display cabinet which unfortunately gave me an insight into what was coming ! It was after we had ordered our fish that the door to this cabinet was opened, releasing a pungent smell of foul fish. One small taste of the fish when it was served was sufficient..... we rejected it, settled our bill for the wine and left , never to return ! The Portuguese pride themselves on their knowledge and quality of fish and this is the first and only place I have been served, knowingly, bad fish in the 10 years I have been living here.

Depois de dias agitados eu fui jantar com amigos e família no seu restaurante e mais uma vez todos nós gostamos imensamente. Cada vez mais valor eu me sinto bem onde eu vejo e sem dúvida eu amo o seu espaço. O Sr. Caetano e o Sr.Pedro agradecem-lhe o seu bom trabalho que sei o quão difícil sou porque também estou nesta área. Espero poder visitar-te sempre que puder. 5* comida,simpatia e bondade

We found this relaxed restaurant with some help from TripAdvisor, no reservation made in advance. A friendly waiter welcomed us and we ended up ordering an excellent mixed fish plate for two with the catches of the day: Perfectly grilled and seasoned, accompanied with potatoes and steamed vegetables and to a good price! First trip to Portugal and a first good restaurant we found! Nice owner and nice staff.Good and fresh fish all pure food fresh from the sea . The people are waiting in lines to get a table .So when you are there try this restaurant.

Probably a bad day for us...My wife ordered grilled chocos and I a grilled dourada . Although both dishes were well cooked, the products were certainly not fresh. Friendly service but the experience was bad.

Huge portions, fish of the day lots of bones. Traditional vegetables served with grilled fish. Lovely creme caramel. 40ish euros for the meal. Service attentive and friendly.

Let’s get honest it’s nice food served with a smile There are so many restaurants in Sesimbra probably as great as here I picked up this one and won’t look any further Reserva una mesa ahora

Nice restaurant in the sidestreets of Sesimbra. Had tasty monkfish with rice to share. Owner was very chatty, friendly and not at all pushy.
