The staff were welcoming, displaying friendly attitudes and broad smiles despite being busy. Initially, the scene was promising, with a bustling atmosphere inside and out, where numerous vehicles, including tradespeople, were parked with some occupants dining in their cabs. However, my experience declined from that point. Upon ordering, I noticed a lone fish at one end of the range. I could have requested a freshly battered fish, but I chose not to order a new one, considering another customer might end up with it anyway. The interior of the chippy appeared tired. I returned to this restaurant after 28 years and it still has the same class. It is easily the best place to get fish and chips in town. The service is quick, the atmosphere is great, and the food is delicious. I highly recommend trying the fish and chips here for lunch. The prices are very reasonable, ranging from £1-10 per person. Overall, I give this place a 5-star rating for food, service, and atmosphere.
