I feel the need to express the disappointment of our experience on Tuesday night at Mason Dixie. I booked 2 groups at M D for a business dinner, both had reservations well in advance and I was assured they were able to accommodate both groups by the owner. One of our groups had a 90 minute wait for food, and when the food arrived it was inedible. Several people reported needing to cut meatloaf with their steak knife. Our other group tried to get up and leave to eat elsewhere but was literally blocked at the door by waitstaff. A friend took me here for lunch I had never heard of it nor been. I don 't hang out in Grapevine, and that 's probably a mistake! The city itself is charming and old fashioned, especially with their Christmas decorations already up! We had a 30minutes wait to eat, even though we saw a number of empty tables; we later found out that there was only ONE server for theentire restaurant (bless her heart! . Anyway, the food was really good. I had my most favorite meal: a grilled cheese sandwichand tomato basil soup! Delicious! (It wasn 't just a plain one. I always enjoy dining at this restaurant. The staff are friendly and the food is delicious. I recently had brunch there and the service was excellent. The average price per person is $20-30. I would give the food, service, and atmosphere a perfect score of 5. I highly recommend trying the Egg Salad Sandwich, Tomato Basil Soup, and Bread Pudding.

Yesterday, we celebrated our child's first birthday at the restaurant and were attended to by Felicia. She was extremely kind and took excellent care of our group of 30. Thank you, Felicia, for everything you did! The food, service, and atmosphere were all rated 5 out of 5.
