This restaurant specializes in Northern Chinese cuisine, which is bolder in flavor compared to the Cantonese food that's commonly found throughout Australia. We enjoyed exploring the diverse flavors, and five out of the six dishes we tried were definitely ones we would order again. The portion sizes were also more generous than we anticipated, resulting in us ordering more food than we needed (though we made sure nothing went to waste). A special highlight was the simple dish of mushrooms and beans, which was packed with flavor and generously included a variety of Chinese mushrooms. Such an awesome place tucked away by the station, I'm surprised I haven't been here before! It's got an awesome interior both down stairs and upstairs, with the upper level having a private dining room tucked away in the back. <br <br I had a range of dishes and can confidently say that all the dishes are SO delicious with such amazing asian flavours! I absolutely loved the Pork Belly tour, Salted egg yolk prawns and Dry braised crystal-fish! All 3 a must in my opinion, 100% I will be back! When I went I saw some tables with a giant stove pot installed on it, where customers were cooking a noodle soup type dish? I don't think it was Hotpot but whatever it was I have to go back and try!!

Anyone familiar with my reviews knows that I have high standards when it comes to good food, and this place has never let me down. However, the standout dishes here are often the ones that most people, including Instagram enthusiasts, tend to overlook. This restaurant is a gem for those who truly appreciate the cultural roots of their cuisine, featuring a generous amount of heart and flavor reminiscent of the early seasons of MasterChef before it became formulaic. Master Chef in Glen Waverley serves a few different dishes beyond your stock standard Chinese restaurant. <br/ <br/ One of their signature dishes is the pork belly tower almost every table ordered this item. And with good reason! It not only looked unique but it tasted beautiful. The sweet and sour fish was perfectly fried and drenched with a tasty sauce. <br/ <br/ There were limited dessert options. Located near the train station in Glen Waverley, this restaurant certainly exudes an aura of class. The restaurant has two levels with different types of table settings including hotpot. My group went upstairs and we ordered a variety of delicious dishes including pork belly tower, scallops, smoked chicken, prawns and dumplings. We had a delightful time, served by professional staff. Highly recommended.

Food was nice. But expensive. Pork belly tower was so interesting but so rich! Best to share with many others. The lamb ribs were yum and the sesame rainbow salad as entree was the favourite! Not the best Chinese I’ve ever had, but pretty good. Just wish it was less pricey!

It's a lovely spot to enjoy Dongbei Chinese cuisine. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the meals were excellent. We will definitely be returning next month to celebrate my parents' birthday dinner.

The restaurant is small, noisy, and quite crowded. The food was good, and the wine selection was decent. The staff, however, were very helpful and friendly.
