I went to the Tyson's location first a few months ago and now I'm actually at a physical store to try this place out too. Like the other location, this place specializes in Matcha. Matcha drinks, desserts, ice cream, sweets... you name it. Open entering, there are open tables on the side next to the counter where you order, a nice cute sofa section with some spots to sit at the window, and a wall of wooden tags with lots of things written on each and every one of them. There's more tables in the back for additional seating but I didn't venture that far to sit down. The matcha powder at this restaurant is the best I’ve ever had. It’s rich and dark, with a wonderfully bitter aftertaste that really captures the essence of authentic matcha. The aroma is fantastic as well. The taro soft serve was also delightful, accompanied by chewy mochi and other toppings that added a great texture. My favorite was the hojicha matcha ice cream float; it’s the perfect combination for me. The hojicha tea has a unique, bold flavor from the roasted tea, and when mixed with the matcha ice cream, it creates a sweet and aromatic dessert that’s cold, melting, and wonderfully delicious, blending the bitterness of tea and matcha in an incredibly tasty way!
This was my first time visiting Match Cafe Maiko, I got their Match/Vanilla Swirl Soft Serve Ice Cream. I will admit the taste is very good, and honestly I liked the richness of their Matcha. The reason for 1 star review is the portion I received for the amount I paid, they barely filled up my cup. The quantity of what you are getting for the amount you are paying is not worth it at all. I didn't want to say anything as there was a long line behind me, and didn't want to hold anyone up. The employee could gave easily filled up my cup so make the ice cream more full, not sure if they are just being stingy about how much they're giving you here.
Matcha Cafe Maiko is a cute and quaint spot perfect for chilling and indulging in matcha desserts and drinks. However, be warned matcha is the star of the show here, and it can be quite an intense flavor for first timers. As a matcha newbie, I found the matcha flavor very bold and a bit bitter. However, having recently returned from Japan, I can now appreciate the high quality of the matcha used here. If you're new to matcha, I recommend opting for something with a more subtle matcha presence or asking the staff for recommendations.

First time here and it was great! Admittedly, we went in 15 min before closing and yet it was BUSY (in a good way! . They still let us purchase our cones and it was delicious. I enjoyed the Ube Vanilla Mixed Soft Serve with the waffle cone. The Vanilla wasn't anything special but the Ube was incredible as well as the waffle cone. At the bottom of the cone is a small mochi as well which was a sweet surprise. My boyfriend had the Match and Vanilla Mixed Soft Serve and enjoyed his cone as well. Overall a super solid 4/5
I've been a regular at this place since it first opened, and I absolutely love it. The owner is very friendly and puts in a lot of effort. Whenever I have a craving for matcha, this is my go-to spot! Their matcha and hojicha frappé are my favorites; they strike the perfect balance between strong flavors and sweetness. Plus, the mix of matcha and vanilla soft serve is incredibly creamy and sweet. Sometimes, when you walk in, you can smell the freshly made waffle cones, which adds to the experience!
I love everything matcha. When I found out about Matcha Cafe Maiko, I was stunned because this is the perfect place for me. I was in the mood for some thing sweet and cold so I ordered a matcha and vanilla mix soft serve. The mix was impeccable, I enjoyed every scoop. The prices are fairly reasonable and you're getting worth every penny. The establishment is clean, and conveniently located. I can see myself coming back many more times to try new menu items.
Not so great service from the person at the front as she seemed annoyed when I asked for her recommendations, but really good hojicha. It's hard to find roasted green tea, but you can also get their powder. Quick service. The hojicha latte is very good, but I would recommend it at 50% since anything higher is a bit too sweet. Very clean shop and very spacious.

$10 for hojicha float is a little steep considering 1/2 of cup is filled with ice and you get half amount of ice cream compared to a soft serve. Their matcha powder is good quality though. I would get a soft serve next time instead of drinks.
