I love sushi! I’m very picky and while I have been to other restraints with a more cultural experience the sushi wasn’t as good and fresh as this place. Prices are more than reasonable and for being so busy it permits the food to be fresher than average. I am not from this area of town and after looking at some of these snobby reviews from others this place deserves a higher average then what it has been given. If your looking for a quest environment the. Maybe this place isn’t for you. It’s busy and the atmosphere is a bit fast paced(in a good way). I came here for lunch with my boyfriend and was happy with the location and the spot. There was parking right nearby and there was a small grassy park where people were having a Japanese cultural fair. There was outside seating as well. We were seated quickly and the menu offered lunch options during the weekends which was great. The sushi menu was HUGE and there were a few other entrees available. The sashimi was very good and I got large pieces for only $12. I'd recommend coming to this place.
Delicious and so fresh. If you are a fan of sushi, this will be one of your new favorite places. We went there with the family on a groupon and got a great deal. Even if you are not a fan of sushi, you should go there and get the hibachi. We ordered the Bento Boxes and the Hibachi and it was so much food, we almost could not finish it. The hot sake was one of the best we ever had. Great atmosphere and excellent service.
Hands down the best sushi in Fairfield county. We've tried dozens of places in CT and NY and nothing comes close. Our latest visit was for a special occasion and we got the $100 Omasake platter. Just wow. Service is professional, friendly and super attentive. Don't forget to throw a tip in the jar for your sushi chefs!

Matsu Sushi is wonderful spot to go for lunch, whether you are sushi lover or bento box enthusiast. The shrimp tempura is excellent, as well as the chicken and beef teriyaki. Regarding sushi, everything is fresh and superb. I highly recommend it, as it is one of my favorite Japanese restaurants.

the restaurant was closed when we arrived (even if I had a confirmed table reservation).
I usually come here during lunch break and grab a quick bite of sushi or sashimi.
