Nice cosy family-owned Japanese spot with many delicious offerings! Their bentos and sushi are top notch in quality and their staff is all Japanese which adds to the authentic atmosphere. Finally the organic matcha hot tea is the best I've had in a restaurant which pairs nicely with the food.
Love the low key authentic atmosphere of this restaurant. Have always had good service here. Sushi is good and food is consistent. Love the tempura and rainbow roll. Can't wait to come again and would recommend. Parking: Parked in the street and walked over.
I'm currently on a work trip and wanted to venture out for a meal instead of dining at the hotel. I did some searching and came across Matsuri online. As I looked through the menu, I noticed they use authentic Japanese ingredients...
Totally disapointed.Ordered some nigiri pieces with california rolls.Some of the fish cuts were not fresh, they were soft.The soy sauce tasted way salty and strange.At the end 31$ for a dinner I better had avoided.Not recommended. Reserva una mesa ahora
Awful service! I arrived for lunch at 1:20 PM but was turned away because they were closed. There was no explanation, even though their posted hours indicate they close at 2:00 PM.
I always enjoy visiting Matsuri, whether for lunch or dinner. My husband introduced me to this restaurant, having discovered it through his own connections.
Simply the best place for sushi in Pasadena. Love the warm and homey feel of the restaurant, and the food is top quality and thoughtfully made.
