Matthew Flinders Hotel

This hotel was once fantastic but now is simply ordinary. I attended a children's party. The deal on a Sunday is that a child's meal is free with an adult meal. As the only vegan friendly meal was soup, I tried to work out something...that I could have. I suggested the roast vege's but they had been cooked in butter so I asked if the chef could suggest something. I was offered a vegetable fried rice but at it was the price of the roast or steak so I declined.....Are they serious?!? I asked if I could order a couple of entrees and chose a garden salad, chips and the soup to make up for the lack of a main option. If it wasn’t for the actions of two of their fantastic staff members the review would be a completely different story! We arrived after phoning ahead a few days prior telling the hotel we would be arriving early hours of the morning and was told...to retrieve the key from the pokie room. We arrived at and was told no one had left the key out for us. Jeremy behind the bar went above and beyond and phoned his fellow staff member Matt who literally came from home at to let us into our room! The room was nice and clean. The next day I went over to the reception to tell them what we went through and the old lady didn’t care and said she knew nothing of it.....rude! The rest of our stay was flawle...

Meals were ok but very poor service. I ordered a meal and when it came out it had different sides than what i ordered. I advised them of this but they said bad luck we do dont change it because it is from the specials,...even though i specifically asked about it when i ordered! No receipt provided when i ordered, then of the meals was not delivered, when we went up they said it was never ordered, altough it definitely was. Service all round was poor, slow and very unprofessional. Dissapointing.

The place itself is great for a family dinner. The food is good, with reasonable portions, and I thought fairly priced. It was a clean venue. it has a good games room for the kids. If you are into pokies it is fine. The only...point is that it's very public if you are looking for some privacy, I would go elsewhere. Its a pub. The service was good. Reserva una mesa ahora

Had dinner with friends and the place was packed with people and their kids. Could see the appeal to go if you are taking kids but we weren’t. Food was expensive and ordinary and drinks expensive too. I received my meal and the other the table had to ask where theirs was and was delivered after I finished. Wouldn’t go there again.

First time in many years and will not be back. Service is non existent. Food is ordinary. Tables were not cleared by the time we left and one person behind the bar serving on a Friday night. All in all an experience I never wish...to repeat

I went to the restaurant on a Wednesday night for a sports trivia night and was pleasantly surprised to find a $15 parma special. They also had a good selection of beers on tap.

This pub offers a $15 Parma night, steak night, and all the traditional pub fare you would expect. The food is tasty and the prices are reasonable.
