I love Mauro's Cafe. Why? Well, the tradition of Italian cooking is apparent for one. Their use of seasonal fresh vegetables and of course all ingredients for sure is necessary to keep up the Italian style of cooking, but also the way the do it. Wow! The influence of the California cuisine is also a positive thing...the healthy combinations of lightly sautéed vegetables and american sandwiches works well on the menu. Wines are generally good! The food at Mauro's Cafe was delicious and sent my taste buds for a wild ride. I recommend the Salmon Tartare, cucumber lemonade, and the pasta with mushrooms. The staff was attentive and personable. The tasteful music and cool interior was also a plus. This place is a must go if you're in the LA area! :

My wife took me here for my birthday dinner. The food and service was great.The chicken Pillard is fantastic and perfectly fills the whole giant plate. The short ribs are out of this world too!
