well , I was very disappointed at my last visit. I stopped to get a couple of bagels with cream cheese the bagels were delicious. the cream cheese tasted like Rosanna refrigerator for a month and it was just a big slab of cream cheese. very disappointed in the presentation in the preparation. The barley mushroom soup was disappointing. the mushroom soup was a starchy mess. there was no broth in the soup. the place went from a five-star to a one star I am wondering if there is new owners or New Management. but I will not go out of my way no more
Honestly I used to love this place. But it’s gone down hill. Recently did a pick up order and ordered a brisket sandwich on challah bread. It came on white bread. Then we ordered beef in a pot. Barely any brisket. (Which I always get this soup and never had this issue) then they throw a whole potato in there uncut because it was RAW!! The slice of cheesecake for $6 is the smallest piece of cheesecake. I really used to love this place. But looks like I’ll start having to go elsewhere. Really not impressed anymore.
I ordered an open-faced roast turkey dinner, and it was fantastic. The stuffing was incredible, the mashed potatoes and gravy tasted like they were homemade, and the turkey was tender and flavorful. It was truly the best hot turkey and stuffing I've ever had. However, the pick-up wait on a Friday night was 45 minutes! There was a guy in a hat who was communicating with pick-up customers, almost shouting, "The food's not ready yet." We all exchanged glances, but despite the wait, the food was exceptional.
I hadn't visited in a couple of months and was craving a delicious pastrami sandwich. Unfortunately, I was let down by my choice. The sandwich was dry and had the same flavor as any deli meat from the grocery store. I had ordered the soup with half a sandwich, but I barely touched the sandwich. On the bright side, the Kreplach soup was fantastic, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Everyone knows Max and Benny's—it's simply the best! I've been dining there for over 10 years, celebrating events, holiday dinners, and enjoying lunches. I never get tired of the delicious food, excellent service, and inviting atmosphere. As my dietary preferences have evolved, I've found that the menu offers plenty of options to suit my needs. It's truly a fantastic place!
I picked up a to go order. The older gentleman at the counter was rude. Was my first and last time going there. The food was just ok. Not a lot flavor in the the sandwiches I ordered and the chicken noodle soup was just noodles in chicken broth. I heard great things but I was completely disappointed, especially with the service.

Best Waiter Destiny is very nice and patient, we bothered her a little bit but she was still very nice and giving to our requests, i hope to see her
