On Saturday we had ordered a nicely covered table for 6 people to celebrate my mother's birthday. The table was nicely covered. The waitress welcomed us kindly and accompanied us to the table. As an aperitif we ordered champagne and two Martini Bianco. But we have a Vermuth. When we spoke to the waitress, she said they had no martini and always serve Vermuth. This information would have been useful when ordering. We ordered our food. Meanwhile we got some greetings from the kitchen that bridged the unacceptable waiting period of one hour. The food was tastefully very good, although a lot of time passed between the individual courses. The guests at the neighboring table came after us, ordered...
We've been waving more often in Max Luis, but what was offered to us this time... The restaurant was not even half filled until the first starter (we had 3 courses) we have already waited for over 1 hour. The main dish came after 2h15min!!! That can taste the food as it wants, I'm served and have no understanding. The service was striving, but in the situation also something helpless. As an excuse, there was a little espresso on the house. There could have been something else, especially since the food there isn't a cheap one. zero star and unfortunately a great disappointment. the managing director herr arnold seems overwhelmed with his appointment management. both telephone appointments and two dates before location for planning our high-time celebration were simply forgotten. no feedback has been given to our calls and/or tracking after missed date. we are aware that the current situation, especially for gastronomy, is difficult to bear and survive, but or exactly that is why we cannot understand this behavior in any way. for us are the max louis and his team as location from the table.
In the historical ambience of the former Schönherrfabrik you can find refined flavor combinations in modern and creative dishes between yarn rolls and looms. The many (regional) products are prepared and perfectly matched. Vegtariers also have their true joy here. The service staff is always attentive and accommodating. The only manco, which, however, should not confuse the 5 star rating: on one or the other evening it may take a little longer, with good conversations, delicious amuse bouche and great wine, but this is only a side thing.
