I have been to many but this one had calamansi juice, a lime that has a taste similar to an orange who met a lime and had a baby. They even have banana ketchup, if you haven't had it will change the ketchup game for you forever. It was delicious, we also had the fried lumpia as an appetizer, crispy golden crust with a pork mixture seasoned to perfection. As main courses we got the Kare-Kare, a beef stew in peanut broth. Our group of four shared the chicken skin, which was hot and crispy, and my daughter particularly enjoyed it with rice. The quintessential and famous Max’s restaurant is still my go-to spot for Filipino fried chicken. If you are looking for “sarap to the bones”chicken, then Max’s restaurant is for you. They boast a wide array of Filipino food that will surely satisfy your cravings. The sleeper appetizer that caught me off-guard is their chicken skin chicharon. It was heaven in every bite. The crispy, crunchy, delicious chicken skin was cooked to perfection. It was the perfect appetizer to anticipate your main entree. I've consistently ordered takeout by phone during early afternoons on weekdays, and my orders have always been accurate. The staff I talk to are friendly and always confirm my order along with an estimated pick-up time. While the meals are slightly pricey, they are absolutely delicious. Parking can be quite difficult, but the restaurant entrance is accessible for individuals with disabilities.

The pork belly kare kare was excellent. However, the pork sisig and pancit canton could use some improvement. The seating furniture on the first floor needs to be replaced! Additionally, parking is challenging even on weekends.
It could have been a fantastic lunch, but the food took too long to arrive. We ended up canceling one of the dishes because the kitchen didn’t realize it was part of our order. Other than that, the food was really delicious.
The best Max Restaurant in North America I have been so far. The food is so rightly done. Crispy pata lived to its name very crispy and not dry. Laing was good and right kind of spicy

I drove two hours from Upstate NY to try their food, and it was well worth it. The young lady at the front cashier was an absolute sweetheart.
Totally wonderful Filipino food, and so fresh. The flavors are potent and delicious. This place is a must try.
