I've been to Maya's a few times and each time I go they are all very polite and welcoming!! All of the food that I've had so far has been delicious however; the portions can be a little more. The last visit I ordered chicken wings and they were very crunchy and delicious but they were soo tiny! I couldn't decide if I wanted a pineapple or the strawberry margarita so I just went ahead and asked could I have both and I had a beautiful red and he might yellow marble Frozen margarita in front of me, the taste was just as good as the look. I sort of had a peppermint glow to it perfect for Christmas. Next I had the trio fajitas which comes with chicken steak and shrimp with vegetables. I did not want any tomatoes or guacamole so I have no opinion on that. The steak was very tender. Bell peppers had a light crunch to do it, and there was plenty of tortillas automatically giving out which is so delightful. There was nothing fancy about the rice or beans but in all it was a great experience...
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Birmingham. I always choose Maya when I'm craving Mexican takeout because the food is much better than the others around, yet the prices still reflect what you'd expect to pay at a Mexican restaurant. Never had abad experience here and been several times. I always ask for extra salsa when ordering takeout for more than one person.

Maya Mexican Restaurant is one of the greatest eating place. Their food is is always on point, good, tasty and at a good price ? . The environment is good for couples, families and new dates ? ?.Wow let me not forget their amazing background music; it just adds some icing on a cake. I would fail if a failed to recognize its workers... They are just awesome and welcoming.
Our server Natalie went above and beyond for us. As visitors from out of town, we really valued her attentiveness and the helpful suggestions she offered when we inquired. It was obvious she genuinely enjoys her work. Food: 5/5.
I requested light onions and bell peppers, not less meat. This was my first time at a Hispanic restaurant, and the amount of meat I received was disappointing. The customer service was terrible. I do not recommend this place.
The food and service was really good. The building was old and needed some updates. The booth seats we sat in were very short on one side and tall on the other.

Food and Drinks are great!!!! The staff is amazing! My family and I love it! We pay them a visit at least 3 times a month!!! Keep up the good work guys!!
Dinner with the 2nd daughter and my construction supervisor…. 1st visit here and definitely not my last! Everything was fantastic including the service!
