spent by chance at pau, slept by chance at the hotel of gramont and then dine by chance in a nearby restaurant (attractive by its Maynat name which is the word by which my grandfather called us). And there is a menu with a blind spot in matching dishes and wines that is a pure wonder. The discovery of a chef who has the same logic and a driving thread from the entrance to the dessert. no break here between the cook and the pastry pastry..And this ability to make that each item of the dish comes along, spice up and balance others with such a grace that you discover this tasty taste that the Japanese name Umami.To finish a simple anecdote. loaming the lotte (goût trop pronouncediche for me) appreciating little the gnocchis (too-poor) and Now, in spite of the miles of going back and forth that separate us, I think we'll come back every two months to discover the other facet of this chef's creativity.

It's been over a year since I went to this restaurant and I've never been on it. I struggled to overcome the fact that I did not have much choice; I'm a tough type because there's a lot of food I don't like fish, celery, cooked carrots... . And every time I eat in maynats, there's at least one ingredient in my list. But it's suddenly a veritable delight. A treat for the eyes and mouth of the amuse mouth to dessert. The wine is always well advised and we discover thanks to Clara de pépites each time. Service with a smile and a good mood. A sweet moment every noon. We never tried at night Try at least once!
