I stopped in last night with some colleagues and my fiance after work. I had the Butter Chicken and Beef Vindaloo, and finished off my fiance's Lamb Korma, with a garlic and cheese Naan. The meat was delicious, lean, flavoursome and of a high quality. My portion of the bill consisted of one large and one regular meal with two curries each, two garlic and cheese naan breads and two bottled drinks, I got a good chunk of change from $40 which i felt to be very good value given the portion sizes and quality of the food.
Wow! Butter chicken that is truly memorable and a selection of authentic Indian dishes that will suit any heart's desire. In our 10 day stay in Hobart, we have headed to Mayur no less than three times for take away dinner. Highly recommend not only the butter chicken but the lamb rogan josh, plump and delicious samosas and freshly prepared naan bread. Deliciously authentic and memorable!
We had just checked in and we're looking for something quick and easy for dinner for the family. Expecting to grab maccas instead we something much better Mayurs! Food was great and the $10 two curries and rice were plenty for dinner. The mango lassi is delicious - we went back to get a couple more.
So very happy I visited here tonight. The flavour of the curry (i had Mango chicken, sorry I hate the super spucy stuff) and it was so sweet. Best thing the Chicken was cooked just right, so it could easily be cut with a fork. Definitely coming back. PS great nann too!!

Mayur is a regular takeaway restaurant for me. I love the food here, especially the Butter Chicken. Last time I shared a large size meal with my partner, which he loved. Authentic, very filling and excellent value sized meals.
Mayur do good Indian food at reasonable prices, and they are consistent with their quality. You'll struggle to find any better Indian food this side of North Hobart!
Always provide tasty, good value meals. Family business. Good variety of choices. Vegetable only meals available. Favourite Indian cuisine in Glenorchy.

Great butter chicken, and the mango chicken is nice. Serving size is good, and the naans are great if cooked fresh.
Very close and handy, always has some lovely curries and foods prepared so fast and efficient. Lovely staff.
