The restaurant is simple but classic, I appreciate that there was no pretentious interior design, lighting or music. Our waiters were professional and attentive. The food however, was the real star of the show. The menu was not extensive but well considered, with interesting options. My partner and I ordered the oysters with champagne jelly (actually an amazing pairing) and slow braised beef cheeks (this was our favourite dish of all) for entrée. After a loooong day and a wee bit stressful, we unanimously agreed to dine at Mazzaro's for the sake of convenience, as we were staying at Hyde Park Inn. The restaurant looked a little fancy and very simple but elegant. Which was a complete contrast to our ragged, starving tourist demeanor, I'm sure we displayed. Our server was quick to get us a table as soon as we walked in. He rushed around getting us something to drink then when we were ready, took our order. He then set our table according to our order. It is opposite Hyde Park and Museum Train Station I found out on the night from the waiter that Mazzaro is actually a town in SicilyThe food is therefore ITALIAN Great sensational food Reasonable price considering the sizeable portions The duck ravioli that other customers were talking about was no longer listed in the menuThere was a party when we were there so it was annoyingly noisyAlso the place was a bit too bright The waiters and waitresses could be a bit more attentive but considering how busy it was on the night, I blame the management and not them No other criticisms Overall a good experience and will certainly go back again

We have eaten at MazzarO a number of times . . They have a great selection of wines and some daily specials . What i like is the good service provided by staff who are professional and are used to catering for a clientele that expect experienced service .The food we have had was well presented . There is some space between tables so there is no issue of noise which i like as i cannot hear too well in noisey restaurants or cafe/s . Look the bottom line here is that Mazzar'O offers good value for money - Sydney prices but not over the top . I highly recommend a visit . Reserva una mesa ahora

Not knowing where to go in Sydney and limiting the choice to within walking distance of Circular Quay area, we chose Mazzar'O alongside Hyde Park on Elizabeth St. What an excellent choice that turned out to be! The food was excellent and the service was very friendly and engaging. The fish my wife had was almost too much for her to finish and my steak was perfect. Couldn't fault a single thing! Well done Mazzar'O!

My partner and I got a table on a Saturday night without a reservation. The menu isn't extensive but there were a couple of vegetarian options. The freshly baked bread was delicious. Mazzaro was nice inside and very clean, and the waiter and waitresses were lovely.
