It is unfortunate when a patron of an establishment drives a negative review. When we went to McDuffs it was to enjoy a burger and watch a football game. We arrived just after 6 and there was an individual who was already very drunk. That in itself would not be a problem except for his loud vulgar language. When you're at a bar it isnt expected that there be a lack of swearing, but this individual was profane. What made it worse is the staff seemed to be accepting of this language. It was so bad we had to leave before the football game even began. I've been to McDuff's many times. It's a quirky place. Overall it's a fun place to go. But it has some drama at times. The owner gets INEBRIATED! Yes right in front of the patrons. Sometimes it's fun, sometimes I'm embarrassed for him. Mostly the food is good and mostly the service is good. But again, kind of hit and miss. I've had some excellent food here, but last night my wife and I ordered burgers that were ordered to be cooked medium. They were way over cooked. I really do like McDuff's, so I don't write this to be mean, but in hope to help them improve.
My wife and I were searching for a unique dinner spot when we discovered this restaurant and decided to give it a try. It’s located on a golf course, and we were fortunate to have beautiful weather that evening, so we dined on the spacious deck. The service was attentive, and the food was quite tasty. Overall, it was a lovely experience. Like many bars in Minnesota, they also offer pull tabs, so it's possible to take a chance and potentially win enough to cover your dinner and drinks! We definitely plan to return.
Our server was fantastic! Unfortunately, I can’t recall her name, but we visited today around 2 PM. The food, however, was a different matter. We ordered the Au Jus sandwich to share, and we couldn’t even finish it because it had a terrible odor, reminiscent of a wet dog. It was quite off-putting. Additionally, we found it to be overpriced. Waitress was awesome. Took a long time to get food after we ordered. Kitchen was very slow,appetizers came about 5 minutes before entrees came. Food was good though. Waitress kept checking back with us and apologizing several times,it was not her fault that kitchen was slow. We will go back.
